Back in 1992, Weld.com founder and owner, Chip Cable, was attending a conference on the importance of the internet. After attending the conference, Chip went home and bought various domain names, including Weld.com, with the intent of putting it to good use at a later date.
Fast forward 19 years to the launch of Weld.com at the 2011 Fabtech show in Chicago. Since then, we have been releasing regular how-to videos, technical articles, instructional blog posts and daily news on the forum helping welders learn the trade.
We’re here to help you get your hands dirty and make some sparks!
There’s something rewarding about being able to design a project in your head, layout the materials and build it from scratch. It’s a pride that welders and fabricators know well and it’s our mission to teach the masses.
Weld.com at a glance
Weld.com harnesses the power of the internet to teach hands-on skills, like welding and fabrication. We release instructional content like how-to videos and blogs, as well as hosting a user-led forum to help our users get instant feedback on whatever they need.
In addition to teaching and sharing with you the art of welding, we also want to supply you with the physical tools you need. Purchasing welding equipment can be tricky. That’s why we make it easy by offering a 30 day satisfaction guarantee. Have you ever spent a lot of money on a tool, only to have instant buyer’s remorse? Not on Weld.com! If you order the wrong item or just don’t like what comes in the mail, let us know and we will take it back, no questions asked.
